AGnVET Services established in 1915, today is a leading Australian agribusiness with businesses operating under local iconic brands across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. 

We’re currently seeking a dynamic Agronomist to join our Warren team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to become part of a successful team in a growing business.

You will be responsible to implement strategies with the branch team to develop relationships with both existing and new clients focussing on Broadacre and Cotton segments

Key responsibilities will include development of and appropriate servicing of existing customers, identify new opportunities, development and implementation of promotional opportunities including trial work, customer meetings and field days, working with strategic suppliers and all store staff to develop knowledge of all key products.

The Agronomy position supports AGnVET’s on farm agronomic solutions as well as delivering proactive technical advisory service programs such as Betta Crop®

As an AGnVET agronomist you will support new and established clients to develop new business opportunities through sound agronomic practices. A successful field service team will provide support to keep abreast of new ideas & technologies.

You must be able to work independently and deliver a high standard of agronomy that our growers have come to expect, delivering agronomic solutions to high input farmers. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a level of skills appropriate for the role:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven sales track record and previous agronomy experience
  • Initiative in seeking new opportunities
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with customers, staff and other stakeholders.       

Tertiary qualifications related to agronomy are essential, along with experience in both Broadacre and Cotton markets. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to reflect experience.
